Intern Missionary
3 Months to Less Than 2 Years
A preparation stage in which prospective missionaries experience and learn domestic headquarters ministry and cross-cultural mission work for a set period before being officially commissioned.

Short-Term Missionary
Less Than 3 Years
Missionaries who assist cross-cultural ministries or carry out specific projects for a period generally ranging from 1 to less than 3 years while experiencing mission work in the field.

Long-Term Missionary
5 Years or More
Missionaries who learn cross-cultural language and culture for more than 5 years, serve with a missionary calling in the field, and establish disciple communities.
